MC01: Echo masterclass
We are delighted to invite you to join our “Echo Masterclass” delivered by our international faculty of perioperative echocardiography experts. This is a pre-symposium half day lecture series with panel discussions exploring the pivotal role of perioperative echocardiography in both surgical and interventional cardiology decision-making and procedure guidance. These sessions will enrich your understanding of echo-anatomical correlations, enhance your skills in advanced image acquisition and post processing, address how echocardiography can assist you with clinical dilemmas, and give you an opportunity to learn and discuss with the world experts.
This session will have a strong focus on the evolving role in 2025 of the cardiac anaesthesiologist as an interventional echocardiographer and focus on key areas such as:
- Defining the evolving role of the interventional echocardiographer as a key member of the multi-disciplinary heart valve team
- Demonstrating the utility of real-time two and three dimensional transoesophageal echocardiography (2D and 3D TOE) in interventional echocardiography
- Demonstrating procedure–specific imaging needs in the structural heart disease domain
- Discussing procedure-specific challenges and how to overcome them
- Reviewing appropriate procedure-specific terminology that facilitates communication between the interventional echocardiographer and the interventionalist/surgeon/cardiologist
- Recognising potential complications of percutaneous interventions for structural heart disease using echocardiography to provide safe and more efficacious care
An absolute must for all those involved in perioperative and interventional echocardiography for cardiac surgical and transcatheter procedures.
You can register for the masterclass via the registration link.
We look forward to seeing you in Sydney for this not be missed masterclass.
